Oluwafemi is a seasoned strategic leader with over twenty years of cross-functional experience spanning
Telecommunications Engineering, Field Operations, Network Planning & Optimization, Enterprise
Solutions, Project Management, Information Technology, Business Strategy, and Analytics.
He brings proven strategic leadership and operational management skills, consistently driving high-
performing, results-oriented teams. For approximately sixteen years in Nigeria’s telecommunications
sector, Oluwafemi was instrumental – both as a leader and key stakeholder – in the successful delivery of
multi-million-dollar projects across various cross-functional leadership roles.
He has worked with international organizations including Huawei Technologies and Etisalat Group in
leadership and subject-matter-expert capacities, managing GSM project planning, design and
implementations across the states in Nigeria. As the departmental liaison to the Nigerian Communications
Commission (NCC) at 9Mobile (T2), he achieved cost savings in Hundreds of millions of Naira annually
through efficient microwave spectrum management, rigorous policy adherence, accurate database
updates, and optimized OPEX on annual spectrum fees – preventing regulatory fines.
Currently, as General Manager, IT, Strategy & Operations for a group of companies in the Software
Development and Clean Energy (Automotive Gas Conversion) sectors, Oluwafemi serves as a Portfolio
Manager, aligning all projects and programs with organizational strategic goals. His business analysis
expertise drives short- and long-term planning, execution of value-adding initiatives, and enhanced brand
equity. A self-motivated and resource-efficient leader, he believes in value creation through improved
operational efficiency, refined business processes, and superior service quality.
Beyond his corporate roles, Oluwafemi serves as Vice President, Media and Communications for the PMI
Nigeria Chapter, where he volunteers and provides strategic leadership in executing the chapter’s
communications framework. As the Chief Story-Teller (CST) of the Chapter, he drives member acquisition
and retention, event promotion, and sponsor engagement through multi-channel digital campaigns, while
mentoring a volunteer team and advancing the project management profession via partnerships,
publications, and media.
His professional development is enriched by certifications and courses from globally respected institutions,
including; Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI, Post-Graduate Degree – University of
