VP, Membership & Volunteering
I am Edmund Otaigbe, a passionate leader at the intersection of strategy, risk management, sustainability, and service. With a Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Strategy, I currently oversee risk governance, credit administration, and project monitoring, managing a portfolio exceeding ₦2.6 trillion for Access Bank Plc across Nigeria and its African subsidiaries.
My role sits at the convergence of risk and execution, ensuring that strategic ambitions are delivered within a robust governance framework. I lead initiatives that strengthen credit risk management, portfolio oversight, and enterprise risk discipline, while driving large-scale project delivery. This allows me to move fluidly from boardroom strategy and risk conversations to on-the-ground execution, and from financial system resilience to faith-based reflections and community impact.
Beyond the corporate space, I am deeply committed to shaping a resilient and sustainable Africa. Whether advancing climate adaptation and sustainable finance, championing affordable housing, or contributing to a just and inclusive transition, I approach every challenge with purpose, intentionality, and integrity; always balancing risk with opportunity.
In mentoring young professionals, speaking, teaching, crafting strategy, or delivering complex programs, I bring a mission-driven mindset grounded in governance, performance, and measurable impact.
As Vice President, Membership & Volunteering of the PMI Nigeria Chapter, my objective is to build a vibrant, data-driven, and high-impact community that delivers clear value to every segment supporting certification-focused members, accelerating early-career professionals, empowering experienced practitioners, and engaging senior leaders, while enabling volunteers to lead, grow, and drive sustained impact across the Chapter and the broader project management ecosystem.
Put simply, I am where purpose meets performance.
