VP, Youth and Social Impact Initiatives
Adekemi Oyewusi is a global health advocate, impact-driven professional, and international speaker with over a decade of cross-sector experience spanning financial services, oil and gas, healthcare, and nonprofit development. She brings a unique blend of project management expertise and purpose-led advocacy to every platform she serves.
Adekemi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ilorin and an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and several certifications in Cancer Management, advocacy as well as Monitoring and Evaluation in Global Health from the University of Washington.
Her work and voice have contributed meaningfully to global conversations on cancer care, equity, and policy development. As a global speaker, she has spoken on several respected platforms including the World Cancer Congress and University of Lucerne in Geneva, and other global health forums. A passionate survivor and change maker, she currently serves as the global Communications Lead for Childhood Cancer International’s Survivors Network (SurNet), where she helps amplify survivor perspectives to inform better health policies and systems.
In her role as Vice President, Youth and Social Impact at PMI Nigeria Chapter, Adekemi leads the chapter’s strategic initiatives focused on leveraging project management in youth engagement, empowerment, and social good. She designs and drives programs that amplify project management, foster leadership development among young professionals, support community development, and align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Adekemi’s leadership is defined by her ability to connect vision with action, whether she’s mentoring emerging youth leaders, advocating for patient-centered care, or building platforms for collective impact. She remains committed to shaping a world where sustainable development is not just a goal but a shared, achievable reality.
