Festus Ojekhekpen is a creative and seasoned project, change, and programme management professional with extensive experience in diverse workplace environments. He excels in business process re-engineering, training development and delivery, motivation, and team building/leadership. With a robust background in general and technical project management, product marketing, and management, Festus brings a dynamic approach to every role he undertakes. He is also a skilled speaker, trainer, and presenter, adept at employing clarity, innovation, and humor to engage diverse audiences across all organizational levels.

Festus currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Development for the PMI Nigeria Chapter Board, a role he has held since July 2023. In this capacity, he has been instrumental in shaping the professional growth of PMI members in Nigeria.

At the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Festus has made significant contributions over the past five years. As the Senior Manager and Head of the Administration and Technical Assistance/Programme Management Office since June 2020, he has overseen various critical initiatives. Additionally, he has been leading the Federal Engagement & Enlightenment Tax Team (FEETT) in Abuja since June 2019, where he has played a key role in driving tax awareness and compliance.

Festus also demonstrated exceptional project management skills as the Project Manager for the FIRS Contact Centre from July 2021 to July 2022. He successfully delivered a state-of-the-art contact center at zero project management cost, guided by Agile PM and lean philosophy. The Contact Centre was launched remotely in October 2022 by the Hon. Minister of Finance and His Royal Highness Etsu Nupe at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja. For his exceptional leadership and commitment to duty, he received a commendation letter from the CD/CSG. Currently, he continues to provide post-implementation support through the execution of a signed SLA.

Previously, Festus served as the Programme Officer and Head of the Technical Assistance PMO at FIRS HQ in Abuja for nearly a decade, from September 2010 to June 2020. His earlier experience includes his role as the Head of Customer Service and Public Relations Officer at Garki Hospital Abuja from June 2007 to January 2010.

Festus holds a PMP® certification from the Project Management Institute, which he obtained in 2015. He earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Political Economy & Development Studies from the University of Abuja in 2014, following his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the same institution, which he completed in 2002.
